The Spastics Association of Hong Kong

Since 1980, the Spastics Association of Hong Kong has adopted the principles of Conductive Education to her services including special child care centres, special schools, sheltered workshops and hostels. Accumulating over 10 years' experience, the Association has developed a holistic model in implementing the principles of Conductive Education specific to the physical and sociocultural background of Hong Kong.

In 1994, the Spastics Association of Hong Kong obtained funds from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to operate " The Jockey Club Conductive Learning Centre". The Centre offers different training courses to parents, careers, rehabilitation workers, therapists, special education professionals and related administrators of the neurologically impaired children. This Centre is composed of 3 parts, the Children's Unit, the Library and the teaching Unit.

The Library is a resource center with a collection of local and oversea books, journals, study reports and audio-visual information for loans to the public. The Library also publishes training materials in Chinese and translates articles written in foreign languages.
